A little over 50 years ago, on land once lush with apricot orchards, a new partnership between Stanford and the pioneering companies of the Silicon Valley was cultivated. The fruits of that partnership shaped the future of technology, altering the course of the world as we know it. Half a century later, history repeated itself. Built in the Eisenhower Era, Stanford Hospital was not designed to keep pace with the unbelievable advances in medicine and technology. Faced with this challenge, Stanford Hospital saw an opportunity. Building on the pioneering spirit demonstrated 50 years ago, the Stanford Hospital Corporate Partners Program was established to create a long-term partnership between Stanford Hospital and leading Silicon Valley companies to inspire transformational solutions to advance medical science, improve patient care, and support the development of the new Stanford Hospital.
